One of CNet’s editor DavidĀ Carnoy got a setback in his plans to publish his book ‘Knife Music” for the iPhone. Apparently Apple found some objectionable content in David’s book which violates their SDK terms (Agreement Section 3.3.12, if you really cared).
Getting an ebook on iPhone either required an ebook reader or an ebook with self-contained e-reader software. Though david’s book was rejected with a self contained e-reader software (was being published by Alexandru Brie | touchbooksreader). Users may still have the option to get it the other way around.
Checking a book for objectionable content can be tricky. It is believed that Apple is using some word matching techniques; which can be flawes. Though this might not be the first appstore news on bans and rejection; this one would surely make Apple rethink its strategy…
